Be it the feeling of floating and sliding through the water or a break from the heat of summer, swimming fills a wonderful recreational need for individuals. DPS-MIS with its Olympic-size pool strives to fulfill yet another need of its students where they can develop life skills such as sportsmanship, time-management, self-discipline, goal-setting and an increased sense of self-worth through their participation in the sport.

The 50 metres pool, which has all the features to host National and International competitions, was inaugurated on 4th December 2013 by Chief Guest Mr. Mohammed Al Sheeb. The day saw the gracious presence of eminent personalities like Mr. Khalid Abdullah and Mr. Wouly De Bie, members of the Qatar Swimming Association; Mr. Hassan Chougule, Mr. Yassir Nainar, Mr. Rocky Fernandes and Mr. Harish Kanjani, Executive members of the Management.

The quiet pool became a whirlpool of activities when the students of the junior and senior school showcased their swimming skills under the guidance of their PE teachers. Team work and team spirit were exhibited when they displayed the art of synchronized swimming .They showed different formations with different swimming equipment and swimming strokes. The formations of the Olympic ring and pyramids were a treat for the eyes.

Apart from crystal clear water, the Olympic-size pool is complemented by an array of facilities like world-class equipment, changing rooms and water filter.

The certificates won by the students in all the National and International competitions were distributed by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries present there.

Principal Ms.Asna Nafees extended her heartfelt thanks to all the gracious guests present there. She also expressed her sincere gratitude towards the management for equipping this school with the latest facilities.
